What services does It's Doula Time offer?

It's Doula Time offers a range of pregnancy and postpartum care services including prenatal support, evidence based information, birth vision planning, childbirth classes, hands on care during labor and delivery, breastfeeding support, postpartum care and newborn care.

What should I expect at our first prenatal meeting?

During your first prenatal visit, we will review your health history, discuss your prior birth experiences, talk about your vision and any fears or desire you may have. We will also go over any questions or concerns you may have about your pregnancy or postpartum period.

What does a postpartum doula do?

A postpartum Doula provides all around support during what we like to call "the 4th trimester". We assist with infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery, bonding, soothing techniques and even light housekeeping if needed. The goal is to support you how you need to be supported during this beautiful new season. Research shows that families with a strong support system navigate this period more smoothly, feeling empowered and confident. Postpartum Depression and anxiety rates are drastically reduced when Doula support has been received.

Postpartum Doula VS Newborn Care Specialist

A newborn care specialist focuses solely on the newborn. Bathing, feeding, sleep training, soothing & handling the needs of the infant.

A Postpartum Doula supports the needs of the new parent while fostering family-wide confidence and connection during this transformative time. This can include light housekeeping, meal prep, breast feeding support & emotional support. As a Newborn Care Specialist, I can provide specialized care to newborns and infants during their first 12 weeks. I do not believe that you should have to hire one or the other. Therefore, my postpartum services are combined to cover both needs and no additional cost.

What does a Doula cost?

Doula rates vary by location, service type (day, night, virtual), and experience. Most have one flat fee. However, we offer multiple packages in an attempt to meet everyone's needs and budget. Our Birth Doula packages start at $250 and our Postpartum packages start at $100. Many families request Doula services as baby shower gifts, especially without nearby family support. Please contact us directly so we can put a package together that fits your needs.
