This phase of life can be scary but it doesn't have to be. There is an overwhelming amount of misinformation at your fingertips. I can help you navigate through it by providing only evidence based information. As a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula as well as a Certified Newborn Care Specialist, I have the capabilities to provide a non-judgmental safe space to support you emotionally and physically during your pregnancy and into your "4th trimester".

No. A Doula is an amazing addition to your care team. However, a midwife or Obstetrician will need to be at your delivery.
A Birth Doula provides emotional and physical support during your pregnancy and in the delivery room. We share evidence based information, help with birth vision planning, teach comfort measures, help you advocate for yourself and provide hands on care during labor and delivery. We also encourage and help the partner be as involved as possible.
A Postpartum Doula provides all around support during what we like to call "the 4th trimester". We provide evidence based education for your childbirth recovery and newborn care basics, assist with infant feeding (breast or bottle), offer non-judgmental emotional and physical support, and even light housekeeping if needed. The goal is to support you how you need to be supported during this beautiful new season. Research shows that families with a strong support system navigate this period more smoothly, feeling empowered and confident. Postpartum Depression and anxiety rates are drastically reduced when Doula support has been received.
A newborn care specialist focuses solely on the newborn. Bathing, feeding, sleep training, soothing & handling the needs of the infant with or without parent involvement. Parents typically use a newborn care specialist to help ease the anxiety that often comes along with bringing a new baby home. They also hire one so that they can step away with confidence and reassurance knowing that their baby is being well taken care of by a professional while they do things such as catch up on sleep or run errands.
As a Newborn Care Specialist, I can provide specialized care to newborns and infants during their first 12 weeks. Hiring a Postpartum Doula and a newborn care specialist is costly. Therefore, my postpartum services are combined to cover both needs and no additional cost.
